Ridley-Tree Education Center
at McCormick House
1600 Santa Barbara Street
OFF THE WALL was back by popular demand. The SBMA Women’s Board hosted its third appearance on the Santa Barbara art scene. Guests were served wine and hors
d’oeuvres, and left with an original work of art. This event helped support our Museum's education programs, exhibitions, acquisitions and special projects. The exhibition
Picasso and Braque: The Cubist Experiment, 1910-1912, was made possible through support from the Women’s Board.
Each ticket purchased admitted up to two people to the party and entitled the ticket holder(s) to
one work of art. On the evening of the event, ticket holders’ names were drawn at
random. As each name was drawn, that person made a selection from original
paintings, drawings, photography, hand pulled-prints, collage, sculpture, ceramics and glass by artists primarily from the Santa Barbara area. Ticket holders could also participate in a live auction for the first, second and third picks just before the drawing began.
Preview days preceded the event, giving guests a
chance to view the art and decide which pieces they preferred.
Images of
the artworks were posted on our website as we received them.
$300 per ticket. (Not tax deductible.)
