OFF THE WALL is the fan-favorite fundraising event that features donated work of generous local and regional artists in support of the Santa Barbara Museum of Art. First held in 2009, OFF THE WALL has grown into an increasingly important and highly visible part of the Santa Barbara art scene.
On Saturday, April 27, 2019, the SBMA Women’s Board will hold the 6th OFF THE WALL at the historic Carrillo Ballroom, along with an Artist Reception for donating artists and event sponsors on Friday, April 26, 2019. The previous OFF THE WALL in 2016 sold out quickly and more than 130 artists donated their work to the event. The Women’s Board hopes to offer even more art options in 2019 from participating Santa Barbara artists and from artists in other areas of the region.
OFF THE WALL has made an indelible mark in Santa Barbara and presents an opportunity to further develop connections between the Museum, the Women’s Board, and the community. The generosity of our participating artists reflects positively on the importance of this wonderful fundraiser; and the generosity of our sponsorship-level donors reflects their desire to maintain the Museum’s quality programming and exhibitions the Women’s Board is able to support.
Tickets for OFF THE WALL will be available in early March 2019. Check our website frequently at that time. A general ticket will be $400 and allows the ticket holder to pick one piece of original art through a lottery system on the night of the event. A companion ticket may be purchased for $200 along with the purchase of a general ticket.
Sponsorship-level tickets are available now by clicking on this link. All sponsorship-level tickets will receive an invitation to the Artist Reception on April 26, 2019. Every ticket includes a reception with wine and hors d’oeuvres prior to the start of the OFF THE WALL event on April 27.
There will be two opportunities to preview the art—one on Friday, April 26 and another on Saturday, April 27. Artwork also may be viewed on our website, sbmawb.org, as it is received.
All proceeds from Women’s Board events support the Santa Barbara Museum of Art’s acquisitions, exhibitions, and education programs.
