This event featured dramatic and imaginative tablescapes created by twelve designers of local and national acclaim, each inspired by a specific piece of artwork from the museum’s permanent collection. From traditional and elegant dining tables to fantasy and whimsical installations, these memorable creations awed and amazed. Held in the museum galleries, Art of the Table opened with an elegant reception where invited guests met the designers and delighted in their imaginative artistry. Public viewing of the displays followed on April 28 and 29, 2018.

As part of the event on April 27th, a specially curated Silent Auction featured travel and cultural entertainment packages, artwork created by contemporary California and Santa Barbara artists, unique decor for your table, vintage jewelry and iconic designer accessories. On the public viewing days, there was a free raffle of Museum Memberships and gift cards to the Museum Store.

All proceeds from Women’s Board events support the Santa Barbara Museum of Art’s acquisitions, exhibitions, and education programs.

Twelve designers and artists of local and national acclaim presented dramatic and spectacular tablescapes.
